Who am I?

Research Engineer - ML/DL/CV

Hey there!
I'm Sebastian, a Research Engineer and Graduate Researcher based in Seattle, WA. I'm currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington, where I'm knee-deep in the world of AI and Computer Vision.
I am part of the UW Robotics Lab, exploring the latest in Computer Vision and robotics perception. My academic journey started in Munich, where I completed a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering. As an Algorithm Software Engineer at Hyperganic (German Startup), I was developing solutions in the field of Computational Engineering. Leading the development of applications for research entities and universities, I contributed to the advancement of Hyperganic's technology stack. I just finished a Research Internship with Advances Micro Devices (AMD), researching on opimizations of artificial intelligence workloads and large scale High-Performance Computing (HPC). On a personal note, I am an ambitious runner, having successfully completed multiple marathons. Beyond the tech landscape, my passion extends to competitive sailing and relaxing sailing trips. In addition, I love the thrill of kite surfing, and skiing in the mountains.
